Pilgrim’s Mexico Tepeji del Rio Facility
Wastewater Treatment System Upgrade
In line with the company’s environmental policy, Pilgrim’s Mexico invested over USD$1.2 million in the reengineering of its Tepeji del Río facility’s wastewater treatment system in 2018. Following completion of the project, the facility’s wastewater output will be in full compliance with NOM-003-SEMARNAT-1997 and a high enough quality for reuse in cleaning activities outside Pilgrim’s Mexico facilities, land irrigation and discharge to receiving bodies, including rivers or natural soil.
